Marty McGee is currently serving as the State Assessor for Alaska.
Marty has spent 30 years in the real estate industry working from construction labor to the owner of a construction company, a licensed real estate agent, a commercial real estate appraiser and an assessment professional.
Assessment experience included: contract assessor for several small Alaskan communities, and serving for many years as the Assessor for the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska’s largest City.
Marty is currently certified by IAAO as an in-state instructor. He has a Master of Science in Real Estate and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a real estate emphasis both earned at the University of Alaska.
He has served as a board member for the Alaska Association of Assessing Officers. He has also served as a president of AAAO. Marty has been a member of IAAO for over 20 years and was the co-host for the 2005 IAAO conference in Anchorage.
